A team of visionary youngsters from the field of fashion, art, and photography came together to host ‘OBLIVION: The Maker Meets Its Creation’ art exhibition at the Guwahati Artists Guild in Guwahati, Assam. The event was held on August 18 and 19.
Team Adorn Albums displayed 58 sculptures, paintings, and photographs in the event that showcased 12 artists from across the city. The exhibition was organised with a visionary and positive intention to bring different artists from various fields to come under one umbrella and work together to uplift the environment and society.
As the chief guest of the exhibition, Medha Saikia, founder president of Northeast Fashion and Design Council, lauded the organisers and the participants for coming up with such a fresh outlook. She also said that that it was her responsibility to make the event grow bigger and better in the days to come.
Arita Kashyap, owner of Doyna and also a fashion designer, talked about eco-friendly fashion, which a lot of designers are picking up now in order to preserve the environment. The fashion designer said, “In wearing natural fibre, we are buying cool weather for all of us.”
The director for museums, Assam government, YS Wunglengton, also spoke on the event and elaborated on the necessity of sustainable development and urged that this kind of event should last longer. He further invited the organisers to come and work together side by side so as to make this kind of event get a larger turnout and also get the appreciation from the people that the artists deserve.
