- Eat a healthy diet
A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Some people suggest that a diet rich in fish oil or fish oil supplements and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger-looking skin. Drinking plenty of water helps keep your skin hydrated. Includes lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts. Emphasises fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products.
2. Use Facial Oils
Oils are the ideal antidote to dry, flaky skin and rough, rosy cheeks and they can be much more effective at moisturizing than your standard over-the-counter lotions and creams. Facial oil helps you reduce wrinkles and also works as a perfect primer for make-up. They are great for banishing zits as they really protect your skin.
3. The Golden Rule
Always remove your makeup before hitting the sheets. Our skin needs to breathe overnight and make-up prevents that from happening. You can remove your makeup with some olive oil on a cotton pad and gently wipe your face with the cotton pad. Having makeup on your skin for too long can also cause pimples and acne on your skin.
Exfoliate your skin at least once or twice a week to remove the layers of dead skin, sure to leave you with a healthier glow and brighter skin. Exfoliation also helps to prepare your skin for any products you choose to put on after.
5. Beauty Sleep
Your body boosts blood flow to the skin while you snooze, which means you wake up to a healthy glow. Being short on sleep can cause the corners of your mouth to droop, making you look sadder than you do after a good night’s rest. Your skin can focus on repairing itself while you sleep since it isn’t defending itself from the sun and free radicals.
