For the first time in history, the Femina Miss India will be on virtual mode due to the COVID-19 pandemic this time. In pursuit of Indian representatives for global participation in different pageants, Femina Miss India 2020, co-powered by Sephora and Roposo, promises to continue its long-lived legacy.
The pageant will see 31 ladies compete for the coveted title. Out of this, 28 of them will represent their respective states, accompanied by one selection from Delhi, one from Jammu and Kashmir, and another collective representative of the Union Territories.

Operating from their home, the state winners will go through rigorous training which is facilitated by industry experts. They will be exposed to an educative curriculum full of tutorials, master class, and interactive sessions. Additionally they will be exposed to technical teachings on content production and social media management.
The shortlisting of the top 15 state winners will be done after an extensive lineup of sub-contests, shoots, challenges, interviews, etc.
The finale event will be produced and broadcasted as a pre-recorded television show featuring artist performances, sponsor integration, contestant rounds, leading into the grand announcement of Top 3 winners.
Neha Dhupia, who had taken home the Femina Miss India Crown in 2002, will be seen mentoring the contestants this year.
